The mission of Baltimore International College (BIC) is to provide students with the education and experience needed to pursue progressive careers within the international hospitality industry.
Founded in 1972, Baltimore International College is an independent, not-for-profit four-year college accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association, approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission, and programmatically accredited by the American Culinary Federation, and offers specialized master's, baccalaureate, associate degrees and a certificate program through BIC's School of Graduate Studies, School of Culinary Arts, and School of Hotel Restaurant and Catering Management.
The College's Baltimore, Maryland campus is located just two blocks from the famous Inner Harbor and within easy walking distance of many of the city's major attractions. The College's location provides a variety of employment opportunities in Baltimore's growing hospitality industry.
BIC also has an Ireland campus located in County Cavan, which is home to educational facilities, student housing, the Park Hotel, golf course, herb and pleasure gardens, equine facilities, and 15 miles of walking paths situated on Lake Ramor. BIC students are required to take an Ireland practicum at the campus to enhance their overall education in the hospitality industry.
Faculty members include chefs and academic instructors of high academic distinction who provide students with hands-on instruction with an average of 15 years of real world experience. BIC faculty comprises of one of 13 Certified Master Pastry Chefs in the United States and a former United States Olympic Culinary Member.
